Melissa Lawson

Melissa comes to Humboldt County via Miami, Chicago and Los Angeles. A devotee of ensemble physical theatre, she was a member of New World Rep in Miami, a founding member of Akropolis Acting Company also in Miami, and a member of Dolphinback Theatre in Chicago. Favorite roles include Masha in Three Sisters; Cherie in Bus Stop; Nastya in The Mandate and The Mare/Elayne in The Balcony. Locally she has worked with Sanctuary Stage in Love is a Drug, A Commedia Christmas and The Duelist. Melissa has a BFA in Theatre from New World School of the Arts and is a member of SAG. Melissa brings an expertise in dance and movement including: tap, ballroom, jazz, Laban, Feldenkrais and Yoga.
