Christmas Cable Show Special

Written and Directed by Jackie Dandeneau, Tinamarie Ivey, Zuzka Sabata

This year at the Arcata Playhouse the Tannenbaum Sisters will host “A Very Playhouse Christmas: A Televised Special”.  You will be the studio audience in this crazy mock cable Christmas special as they open their doors to share their most memorable Christmas yet with cookies, chickens, ornaments, and songs.  You’ll be treated to timeless classics like A Marshmallow Christmas, Baby Please Come Home, holiday shadow play, tuneful carols and plenty of zany antics.

Jacqueline Dandeneau, Tinamarie Ivey and Zuzka Sabata as the Tannenbaum Sisters with Andrew Phoenix will bring this cable TV bound holiday special to life with exquisite harmonies and lightening speed costume changes.  Join in the chaos as the Playhouse TV Studios tries to contain the holiday mayhem on the menu. Pianist, Tim Randles, rounds out the quintet as he tickles the ivories like never before and the talented Lush Newton will design the sets and decorate the theater in its Christmas finery.

“Playhouse Christmas delivers holiday laughs galore.”

A parade of special guests will grace the Playhouse TV Studios with stories, readings, songs and comic routines to make each show unique. Some of the guests to perform include Lynne and Bob Wells, Arcata Interfaith Gospel Choir, Joan Schirle, Dell'Arte, Sienna Nelson, Art Jones and more. A schedule of performers can be found on the Playhouse website. How many others are lurking outside the Playhouse studio to make an appearance and lend their talents to this crazy cable special? You’ll just have to come to find out because there is a different guest every night
