Frances is a scenic designer, her work includes Blood Wedding, Fuddy Meers, Ismene, The Cripple of Innishman, Amahl and The Night Visitors and Drawer Boy. She is the Technical Director for the Department of Theatre Arts at Portland Community College and served on the technical staff for the Ashland's Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

      Frances holds an MFA in Technical Production, Humboldt State University California, and a BFA in Theater, Tarleton State University, Stephenville, Texas and studied Scene Design under Ming Cho Lee's direction.
