Sanctuary Stage is passionate about the cultural education of youth and strives to create enriching and engaging productions that challenge and entertain young audiences.  We believe that the arts and the collaborative nature of the creative process are essential to the human experience and that we are creatures of our environment, biological origins with a collective experience.  The arts are what give us a voice, a platform for expression of our deepest emotions, hopes and dreams.

Touring Puppet Theatre is a course trains college students in design and performance of a touring production for local elementary schools.  During the 10 week course students prepare as a touring company, visiting elementary schools with plays ranging from traditional western fariy tales to multicultural and bilingual folk tales.  Productions included training and casting as puppeteers, musicians, voiceover and assistant director.  Students performed twice per week for a total of six weeks.  Each school received a Study Guide for classroom discussion and puppet instruction; a Q & A at the close of each performance with a tour of the 'backstage' of the puppet theatre.
